A SHORT HISTORY.........
London Callin' was born on Saturday June 9th 2001 at The 12 Bar Club on Denmark Place, The first two bands to play that night were The Face and Psychodrama. The night was a resounding success and the 2nd London Callin' was booked for August of the same year, this one featured Jesse James and The Duvalls. London Callin' was my brainchild, but i called an experienced mate, Dave Taylor to help me get it up and running, Dave was primarily responisble for the design on the early flyers.
Because of the success of those early London Callin' shows, Gaff and Piera at The 12 Bar Club asked me to do shows on a more frequent level, thus my flagship night on the last Saturday of the month was born and it then ran uninterrupted from 2002 right up until The 12 Bar Club left it's spiritual home in January. London Callin' transferred to The new 12 Bar premises on The Holloway Road until it's last night there in August 2015. London Callin' will always be synonymous with The 12 Bar Club.
Other than The 12 Bar Club, London Callin' has hosted shows at The Dublin Castle, The 100 Club, The Hope & Anchor, The Pipeline and The Alleycat on Denmark Street.
